Indutex has welcomed Confindustria’s invitation to make company space available for vaccine administration, and it has done so motivated by a sense of responsibility. The Corbetta-based company has manufactured PPE and protective clothing for over 40 years and, through its CEO Paolo Maria Rossin, replied to a letter from the Industrialists Association that asked them about their willingness to make a contribution.
“I did not hesitate, not even for one second – explains the CEO of Indutex – we immediately identified a suitable space at the company and contacted a local physician to see if he would be willing to administer the vaccines as soon as they became available. No time schedule has been defined as yet, but we will be ready when the vaccines are delivered. Not only that, I am ready to extend this opportunity to the family members of our employees, resulting in a possible user base of 150 persons”.
Indutex has made this choice in the spirit of collective responsibility: “We all have to play our part in this battle,” says the CEO, “my company has worked tirelessly and with conviction even during the hardest months of the pandemic to ensure an uninterrupted flow of supplies to the hospitals.
Company personnel undergo periodic screenings to identify possible cases of COVID-19 and we have raised all safety standards: thermo-scanners, distancing, masks, sanitising. Now we are offered the great opportunity of a specific vaccine and therefore we are on the front line to accelerate the immunisation campaign”.
Responsibility is the leitmotif at Indutex, where protective garments are produced every day and, since December, certified surgical masks have also been produced: “Let’s not let our guard down – concludes the CEO – personal protection continues to be essential to prevent contagion and the spread of the virus”.
