“Gas-tight” chemical protective suit

Type 1a ET
Like type 1a for emergency teams.

Type 1b ET
Like type 1b for emergency teams.

N.B. – The suits must satisfy the requirements of EN 943-1:2002 in addition to those listed below.

MATERIALS

Preconditioning (EN 943-1 clause 4.1 Annex B): 5 cycles of washing (if laundering is provided for)

Conditioning (EN 943-1 clause 4.2 Annex B): 24 hours at (20 ± 2) °C and (65 ± 5) %RH – Start the tests within 5 minutes after removing the test specimen

  • The number and date of the relevant European standard if the chemical protective suit is also submitted to tests for additional hazards (e.g. resistance to heat and flames, mechanical impacts, poor visibility)
